AKASIA es la única banda peruana de rock alternativo cantado en castellano, con influencias de rock japonés existente en nuestro país, mostrando al mercado local que el rock puede tener una faceta distinta y fresca.
Tras cuatro años de formación, los chicos de AKASIA nos anuncian que su primer álbum será lanzado al mercado en los primeros meses del 2012; por lo que están dando los últimos toques a la grabación de su Cd, que será totalmente en castellano y con temas propios en los que podremos disfrutar de la mezcla de la cultura musical.
Ken (vocalista), Martín (Bajo), Michael (Guitarra), Sarina (Teclado) y Chimi (Batería), son los cinco jóvenes integrantes de AKASIA (de los cuales 3 son Nisseis, 1 netamente peruano y 1 chica japonesa)
AKASIA tiene miles de fans en Lima -y no sólo de la colonia japonesa- sino muchos peruanos admiradores de esta nueva y melodiosa fusión, que los han acompañado en sus múltiples presentaciones y conciertos algunos con más de 3,000 espectadores.
